Tramway timetable tweaks set to boost punctuality

Customer feedback is driving minor tweaks to Tramway services in Blackpool as we look to better meet the travel needs of both regular passengers and visitors to the Fylde Coast.

From Sunday, July 27, a new timetable will see daytime trams leave Fleetwood two minutes earlier than the current schedule. There will also be earlier trams across the network on Saturdays to match weekday start times.

Jamie Swift, Head of Service Delivery, explains: “It’s now three months since we launched an enhanced 10-minute timetable and, since April, we’ve been busy analysing operational data alongside feedback from customers and colleagues to see where further improvements can be made.

“While the 10-minute frequency is unchanged, by making slight adjustments to the timings, we aim to provide a further boost to reliability during school holidays and at other busy times.

“There will also be some minor changes to early morning and late evening timings to better reflect customer numbers and travel patterns as we strive to deliver the very best service to our customers throughout the year"
