New Buses For Blackpool

We are soon taking delivery of 19 new single and double-decker buses, making our public transport network one of the youngest there is. The latest delivery of buses, which includes 15 single-decker Enviro200 and four double-decker Enviro400 buses, means that the average age of buses in Blackpool is around 3 years old.

The buses, provided by our Palladium partnership with Alexander Dennis (ADL) completes our plan to completely renew the fleet by 2020, ensuring a low emission and environmentally friendly transport network for everybody across the Fylde Coast.

Of course, our brand new buses will be built to our premium Palladium standards that you've come to expect. With all of your favourite features, including wireless phone charging at all seats.

We have worked with partners Alexander Dennis since 2016. The latest order takes the number of Alexander Dennis Enviro200 and Enviro400 in our fleet to 107 and ensures that every Blackpool bus will provide our Palladium standard of service.

The sustained investment has been part of a strategy to ensure that no bus in Blackpool is older than five years. With the first replacement cycle complete, discussions have begun about a continuation of the programme in order to maintain the high standards now achieved.

Blackpool is a world-class resort which attracts millions of visitors each year, and it now has a bus fleet to match.”

You can expect to see the new buses on the road from April onwards and will also notice the withdrawal of all remaining buses painted in the yellow and black colours, which was introduced in 2010 following the discontinuation of the Metro Coastlines brand.
