Charging Ahead With Blackpool Transport's Palladium Bus Launch

6 years ago Fri 31st May 2019

This June, another 15 Palladium buses will be joining us at Blackpool Transport, taking us to a total of 107 Palladium buses and ever closer to having a fully Palladium bus fleet!

Our new vehicles are set to be introduced on the 23 June and will be mainly spotted on the service 6 route which also allows our 2nd most popular service, the service 7, to become fully Palladium too!

We’ll be officially launching our new Alexander Dennis (ADL) Enviro E200 buses on Monday 24 June in St John’s Square, giving you the chance to pop along and see even more great features that are being added to your services!

Think you’ve seen it all before? Well, not quite! Out of the 15 new ADL Enviro 200 buses that we’ll be launching, 11 will be a new longer wheel based model which means more seating for our customers alongside some brand new additions…

The new vehicles come with everything that you’ve come to expect from a Palladium bus with free WiFi, e- leather seating, wood effect flooring and both audio and visual stop announcements. They also come with some further enhancements. We know that technology is moving fast and mobile devices are improving all the time so on board our brand new Enviro 200 buses we’ve included wireless phone charging into the headrests. Now you don’t even need a wire to charge your compatible phone on the go!

Additionally, and a first within the bus industry, we’ve installed next stop visual announcements facing the wheelchair bay for our customers who use this area so that there is clear visual indication of where the bus is along the route.
