Blackpool Transport recognises inspirational award winner

Everyone here at Blackpool Transport offers our congratulations to the winner of a prestigious accolade celebrating the success of women in business.

The organisation’s Managing Director, Jane Cole, is a previous winner of an Enterprise Vision Award, and is among the first to congratulate Allison Furlong on her success in this year’s competition.

Allison, the Chief Executive of a Liverpool-based charity, Alfie's Squad, scooped top honours in the not-for-profit category, which was sponsored by Blackpool Transport and presented during a special event last week.

Following the gala awards dinner at Blackpool’s Winter Gardens, Jane said: “All the winners on the night are an inspiration to other women working across a wide range of industries.

“As a previous recipient of an award in 2017, I would like to say a huge ‘well done’ to all the winners and the finalists, who all demonstrated the vital role women play in successful businesses, and to Allison in particular for her work with a charity that offers peer support to children and young people bereaved by suicide.

“At Blackpool Transport, we are all proud to support these awards that are doing so much to champion successful women in business. Women who are a driving force for change and hugely inspirational for the next generation of entrepreneurs.”
