Whether you’re going shopping, sightseeing, meeting friends or visiting family – the possibilities for days out by bus are endless.

Pass holders can travel for FREE on our buses between 09:30 and 23:00 Monday to Friday and all day on Saturday, Sunday and bank holidays.

Dependent on what kind of card you have determines what buses you can use across our services, each concessionary pass is slightly different.

NoWcards

Holders of some of the Older Person’s NoWCards can travel for FREE on our buses and trams between 09:30 and 23:00 Monday to Friday and all day on Saturday, Sunday and bank holidays.

Holders of concessionary passes issued outside of Blackpool or Wyre can travel for FREE on our buses between 09:30 and 23:00 Monday to Friday and all day on Saturday, Sunday and bank holidays.

Concessionary passes issued outside of Blackpool or Wyre are not eligible for free travel on our trams as decided by Lancashire County Council.

If travelling before 9:30 or after 23:00, you will need to pay the full fare.  You can pay for this using contactless payments or in cash on board.

Holders of a disability NoWcard issued by Blackpool Council, can pay a £1 fare if travelling before 09:30.  If you are paying the extra £1 fare, you will need to pay this in cash on board as our contactless machines will have already registered your concessionary pass as a method for travel.

How do I use my ENCTS card?

When boarding our buses and trams, place your card on the reader and wait for the beep. Easy as that!

If travelling before 9:30 or after 23:00, you will need to pay the full fare.  You can pay for this using contactless payments or in cash on board.

Concessions for companions/carer's of disabled persons

Some local authorities issue passes for carer's who are accompanying passengers with pronounced disabilities. These are only valid in the area of the issuing authority and are not national passes. Currently, Lancashire does not issue carer’s passes and therefore we are sorry but no carer’s passes are valid on our buses or trams in any circumstances.

This is not a transport operator policy but has been decided by the fundholders. Please do not be offended if the driver or conductor refuses to give free travel to someone producing a carer’s pass as it is simply not valid in this part of England yet.

How to apply for a NoWcard

You qualify for a NoWCard if you are an Older Person or disabled (aged 5 or over) as set out in the national criteria and your sole or principal residence is in Cumbria or Lancashire.

You can apply for a NoWCard from your own Local Authority. Blackpool Transport Services unfortunately does not issue or regulate NowCards.
